I just wanted to make stuff

I saw that one of my favorite webcomic artists was posting about how he went in with his wife's mom to buy his wife an embroidery machine. This thing must be massive, right? I looked around, did a little research and found one that fit my budget and then a site with not-always-cutesy patterns. I was hooked. I can't say that I'm great at it after all this time, but I do enjoy it (when the thread doesn't break) and I find it fascinating how far sewing machines have come. There are all sorts of creative people out there with so much talent to create these neat designs. I'd like to be one of those people but for now I am content bringing their ideas to life in a physical form.
