I started t-shirtSquare in 2018. I was inspired to start a clothing line for animal lovers, pet owners and animal advocates in an effort to donate a portion of the profits to rescue groups and other Shelters across the US and eventually around the World.
What really ended up fueling my initial inspiration was my bunny Athena whose care was surrendered to me and eventually her ownership.
I had no knowledge of bunnies and their care and what amazing pets they can be with the right owner.
I visited the Humane Society and learned a lot about bunny care from them and eventually signed up to become a volunteer.
Spending much of my fee time with Athena and the other bunnies at the shelter, made me become extremely touched and moved by them.
Eventually most of my ideas were built around bunnies.
I am branching out more into other animals, like ferrets (I have adopted one Jack), dogs, cats and raccoons, chickens, cows, goats, foxes and other wild life as well.
I want to sale of my merchandise to help animals around the World. That is my goal.
My new project and line 'Volunteer, Foster, Adopt' is a motto I live by and have implemented with myself in acquiring any pet that has come into my care. There will be many versions of this phrase in all of my upcoming designs.
I believe with these 3 steps, everyone can embark on pet ownership in the most responsible and progressive way leading to less abandoned pets at shelters.
