Fabriquer des badges, c'est amusant. Concevoir des badges, c'est amusant. Collectionner des badges, c'est amusant (je suis celui qui, lors d'un événement, essaie de choisir les 10 badges, autocollants ou épinglettes qu'il va acheter chez chaque vendeur).
Et surtout, le nom « twenty biteen » pour l’année 2019, suite de « twenty gayteen », m’a tellement plu en tant que personne bisexuelle que je me devais de l’utiliser pour le nom de ma boutique. Celle-ci a ouvert ses portes le 1er juin 2019, premier jour du mois des fiertés !
Les badges sont depuis longtemps un moyen de montrer son soutien à une cause qui nous tient à cœur, et c'est également mon cas : les droits LGBT (et en particulier les droits des personnes trans) sont très importants pour moi et mes proches.
J'aime ajouter ma touche personnelle et mon sens de l'humour aux badges que je crée, et si, en parcourant la boutique, vous vous êtes dit « waouh, c'est super » ou « oh là là, c'est drôle », alors merci ! 💖
Je suis très reconnaissante envers toutes les personnes qui ont déjà acheté quelque chose dans cette boutique ! Making buttons is fun. Designing buttons is fun. Collecting buttons is fun (I am that guy at the event trying to decide which 10 buttons and or stickers and or pins to get from every vendor).
And crucially - the name "twenty biteen" for the year 2019, as in the followup to twenty gayteen, delighted me so much as a bi person that I had to use it for the name of my shop. Which officially opened on 1st June 2019, the first day of pride month!
Buttons have long since been a way to show one's support for an issue that means a lot to them, this is no different in my case, LGBT rights (particularly trans rights) are very important to me and my loved ones.
I like to add my own flair and sense of humour to the buttons I make, and if you have thought to yourself while looking through the shop "wow that looks cool" or "omg that's funny" then, thank you. 💖
