My story
👨🏻🎨 I started drawing by the age of 2, and I've never stopped from then on. Since I discovered the oil painting technique, thanks to one of my father's gifts, I've found the best way to express my inner world.
Landscapes, still life paintings, horses, portraits... I have explored every kind of fine art theme, from my schooldays, through my Classics studies at university until today.
When I take a holiday, I love visiting museums throughout Europe and I can stay literally hours looking at my favorite painting masterpieces, especially the Dutch and Flemish ones (not to say about Raffaello or Caravaggio: here in Italy we're very lucky to have such a heritage!).
The painting technique I prefer requires a lot of time and patience to be carried out: every color layer must be completely dried before another coat can be applied. And yet I don't see this slow way of working as an obstacle, but, on the contrary, as an opportunity to deeply get the soul of the theme I'm facing.
Many of my paintings are homages to famous artists of the past: this is a way to remember their work and thank them for not having wasted their talent.
In these years, I've displayed my paintings in several local exhibitions and one of my most important works is certainly a Virgin with Child now placed above the altar of a church in Cosenza (Italy).
