Very nice seller and fast shipping. Such a cool piece of art! A bit like watercolor but more vibrant and detailed. Looks even better in person!

sweet little alcohol painting. No I encaustics were used so there is no wax surface on the painting.

About

I have become addicted to using dried and pressed flowers

As a family, we have moved several times due to my husband's work. And, for a time we even left Texas. I started picking all kinds of flowers, mostly wild, on the side of the road and preserving them by pressing. I must admit, a lot of what I saved was weeds. I thought they pressed very well and gave me more variety.

In my last update, I showed how I was using leaves and other wonderful things from the sides of the highway and my own yard, to make canvases using wax and the pieces from nature.

Well, being me, I was not satisfied with that, so I started making cones and filling the tops of them with the dried flowers. So, here are some of my new pieces.
