umbrellafant, the shop, came from finally listening to life-long passions for creating and gathering parts of the past and combining them with my need to organize and nurture!

You will find the fruits of my passion for all things old and cool ((my opinion on the latter)), here in my shop. I used to wonder why I was so nostalgic, why I was so easily moved by an old story or dear piece from the past. I no longer wonder :: I simply enjoy it, embrace it, soak it in and share it!

I love to draw and I can be quite intense and caught up in the details of a bird's feather or some other pencil stroke. To balance this side of me :: I wire ~ finding lots of freedom here in my wire and glass. I am also a passionate birder, native gardener and collector of quotes. Lots of freedom and grace here, too...

I believe that God created us with yearnings and gifts and the ability to give and receive joy from them. What better way to do this than to embrace those yearnings and go with their flow?
