Hello, my name is Uriah Clear Light, and I am the owner and artist behind all the items listed here. I am 31 years old and have been operating this shop and sharing my artwork since the fall of 2013, shortly after graduating high school.
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and was surrounded by an artistic culture my entire life. I first began learning to screen print when I was in middle school as a side hustle, making very simple t-shirts for local shops and businesses. Shortly afterwards, in high school, I discovered a love for working with pen and paper and creating unique abstract geometric artwork and mandalas. Over the next few years I started spending more and more time developing my style of drawing and my abilities as an artist grew. Drawing became my favorite way to spend my time and I was constantly being inspired to new ideas from nature and my surroundings. After filling sketchbooks with different designs and creating my first series of original mandalas, I began to learn more about sacred geometry and started to incorporate shapes like the seed of life, flower of life, and metatron's cube into my art as well.
Around this same time, I learned about Etsy from a fellow artist back when it was just getting started as the world began to adopt online shopping. The timing of that aligned with the decisions I was faced with for what to do after I finished high school, as well as the rapid adaptation of smartphones and social media.
So, I decided to try screen printing some of my artwork onto clothing for myself since I had already learned how to print basic logos and t-shirts. As I began to experiment with my designs and play around with different layering techniques as well as special light reactive and metallic inks, my creativity expanded and momentum quickly grew into taking a leap of faith as I entered adulthood starting a business rather than looking for a job.
That was the best decision I have ever made. And thanks to the wonderful reaction and support that I received from those who discovered me early on, I have been able to continue down that path for about 13 years now and my artwork and business has blossomed into what you now see here today.
Throughout all phases and eras of my shop, each step of the process, from hand drawing and designing, to the printing, packing and mailing of each screen printed item, is entirely done by my hands only.
More recently, I have also started to work with sublimation printing and jewelry making to go beyond the limitations of screen printing and be able to continue sharing my work in new forms of wearable art and accessories.
