During late 2012, Bill Quillen and his wife, Anne, purchased the Villa del Funk, an existing vintage store located in Crossville, Tennessee. They both love the authenticity of "old stuff," especially American-made items from the late 19th and 20th centuries. Further, Bill, a talented painter and potter, dreamed of creating a place where he could offer his original paintings, prints, handcrafted pottery (created under the name "Red Toad Pottery"), and teach classes. It was a perfect match: bringing together the vintage business with Bill's creative abilities.

But it didn't stop there. In the spring of 2018 the Quillens continued their journey when presented with an opportunity to relocate their business to Main Street in historic downtown Crossville. Operating under the new name, Quill & Art, they sell select, unusual vintage goods they collect, as well as Bill's original paintings, prints, and pottery. They also stock fine handcrafted items created by local artisans. In addition, A new line of leather goods, planners and writing accessories have been introduced.

The Quillens are happy to have an Etsy shop where they can reach a broader audience outside of the mostly rural area where their business is located. They appreciate everyone who shops at the Quill & Art Etsy Shop.
