Vintage Stamp Jewels began with handmade necklaces crafted with vintage postage stamps! We began in 2011 when I was pregnant with my third child and desired to find an outlet for my creativity. While digging around in our 80 year old house, I found a huge tupperware, full to the brim, of vintage postage stamps! The collection had been gathered by my late great grandmother and left to gather dust possibly forever and to be forgotten. I saw beauty in the colors and history of the stamps and decided to create my first piece of jewelry! It was VSJ history from there!

I began to self teach myself new techniques and as my items on Etsy grew, so did VSJ's popularity! We became so big, so quickly, that we had to start hiring our first employees to keep up with the work load. With a leap of faith, my husband and I were able to "Quit our Day Job"!

It was exciting and overwhelming all at the same time! With 3 children all under the age of 6, there was never a dull, quiet moment! There was a time when 6 ladies were creating my designs in our small dining room, while my 3 little children ran screaming through the house happily playing tag! We knew then that something needed to change!

In August of 2015 we built our own studio that we call "The Cottage". It is a quaint little shed that is beautifully decorated with Tiffany blue paint and an antique Chandelier! Here, our workers come to pick up orders and hand make all of our jewelry!

We pride ourself in excellent customer service, unique designs, at an affordable price for everyone! We know that we can charge more for our pieces, as we do use the highest quality materials, but we decided that we wanted everyone to be able to have access to our items! In turn we have had many many returning customers, which means the world to us!

I am always continuing to learn and add new pieces! My goal is to get to a place where I can master soldering and then my designs will take off again from there!
