This suribachi is beautiful, sturdy, and really well designed. It fits perfectly into the palm of my hand and the painted design makes it unique and special. I love it!

About

Handmade Stoneware and Porcelain

Originally from Montreal, I relocated to the Gulf Coast region of the USA in 2000, where I currently share a studio with Lowell Webb. We have our studio and live, along with our 2 kids, 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 5 chickens, on a 5 acre piece of property just east of Mobile Bay and 20 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico.

Mostly self-taught, the majority of my work is formed on the potter's wheel. I make both functional and decorative pottery from stoneware and porcelain, featuring stylized brushwork and carved bas relief design and all fired to approximately 2350 Fahrenheit (high fired). Design inspiration comes from the world around me, and as is fairly evident looking at my pots, I am strongly influenced by the aesthetic and spirit of Asian and Celtic design, and the Art Nouveau Period.

I pot full time and my work is available at regional art shows, galleries, out of my studio showroom, and online.

Shop policies

Last updated on February 4, 2011
Each piece of the pottery made in our studio is individually hand crafted from soft clay. We mix our own glazes, dig our own clay and fire in a gas kiln.

Since each piece is individually made and at the mercy of the flame and kiln atmosphere, there may be some slight variations in shape and color from piece.

(Also please remember that there may also be some slight variation from computer monitor to computer monitor since they may be color calibrated slightly differently.)

I've only indicated shipping prices in my listings for destinations within the contiguous United States.
For all other destinations and for local pick up, please contact me.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Payment
Accept payment: Paypal, personal Check, money order
Payment is due within 7 days of purchase.
Shipping
Buyer pays all shipping related costs.

USPS: We will usually ship USPS Priority Post for smaller items, and will get delivery confirmation and insurance.
International orders also sent regular post because of the unreasonably high brokerage fees various courier companies choose to subject buyers too. No insurance is available this way, but we try our best to pack WELL.

UPS:
We choose to ship via UPS Ground (insurance included) especially for larger pieces and raku.

Item will be shipped once payment has cleared on the Seller's end. If shipping ends up being less than the price I have quoted, I will gladly reimburse the difference.

Extra Packaging Required: We make every attempt to make sure that pottery reaches its destination intact so we usually double box pots for shipping and add a healthy amount of extra packing material to properly protect it. So far we have had an excellent record.

Yes, I will combine shipping on multiple purchases.

LOCAL PICK UP
Please let me know via a "convo" or email if you would like to purchase an item here but plan on picking it up locally and I will adjust the shipping price or reimburse you the shipping charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS:
Please notify me within 3 days of receipt of the item. We make every effort to pack our pottery according to UPS outlined standards, to ensure not only that it reaches its destination safely but, in the event that breakage does happen, that UPS will honor the claim.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, it can be returned within 14 days for a refund (less shipping), once the item has been returned in its original and intact condition. We will gladly exchange the item for another of equal value. Unusual circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
**Buyer pays for return shipping as well as shipping on exchanges.**
