A couple that plays together, stays together
A friend we have met has a Yarn Shop and wanted me to make some Yarn Holders for her shop. That was the beginning of a great pursuit to build something that was useful and good looking. We create several things for the knitting & crochet group that are the result of requests from customers for something a little different. We try to select pieces of wood to yield units that will stand out from anything made from the same type of wood. Lea (the Boss) handles quality control and shipping for our efforts. We met on a production line at an electronic company in 1962 have been together almost every day since then. We left the big company in 1990 and started our own business. Sold that in 98, traveled a bit and moved to Cortez, Colorado in 2000. The house we bought has very nice views of the La Plata Mountains & Mesa Verde National Park from the dining table. There is a barn that became my woodworking shop. Thank goodness it is now heated so I can play down there in the cooler months (of which we have several) when not working in the yard. Retirement is great when you don't have to live in the big city with all the traffic & noise.
