Beautiful earrings, was able to wear them at faire this weekend. This is my favorite artist for earrings since they are so lightweight and are STUNNING. Thank you!

It is a beautifully executed piece, with a lot of depth in the detail of the birds.

About

The world is deeper than we see. A painting can give a glimpse into the everyday magic of all things...

She doesn't remember the precise moment in her childhood that started her love for birds of prey, but Brenda Lyons remembers growing up with a passion for falcons and hawks that spilled into her artwork. Never content to merely read about them, she tried to create fantastical worlds with them in pencil and paint. At the library, she drew inspiration from books filled with the paintings of John James Audubon, the ink drawings of Peter Parnall, and learned everything she could from books on their anatomy and behavior.

In 2007, she traveled to Montana to attend Rocky Mountain College. Starting in the Equestrian program, she soon switched to art, and spent several months in Ireland, traveling to Germany and Italy, finding a bit of otherworldy beauty in those countries. In 2009, she graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Illustration, and has been living as a full-time artist since.

Brenda has volunteered with sick and injured birds of prey at Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation and Education since 2010. The falcons, hawks and owls at the center are often the inspiration for her paintings and masks. At the center, she has helped rehabilitate raptors, train educational birds, and educate the public in programs.

She is the author and artist of "Winged Fantasy: Draw and Paint Magical and Mythical Creatures" from IMPACT Books. Her paintings and masks have won numerous awards, and she has shown at a number of art shows and conventions across the country.

Payment
I will ship out your purchase, if for an in-stock item, upon receiving payment. If you pay via Paypal or credit card, then I will ship it out within the next 3 days at the latest. If the item is a custom-made item, then it will ship within the time frame stated in the description. If you're concerned about receiving an item by a certain date, please contact me. If you choose to pay by check or money order, I will ship out your item once the check clears. I do request payment be received within a week of your purchase. If I do not receive it by then, I will send you a friendly reminder.
Shipping
Shipping within the United States depends on what you purchase. Prints are shipped in a bubble mailer envelope with sturdy backing. In the case of original artwork, I will use additional packing, such as sturdy board to ensure the work is not bent or crushed during shipment. Painted feathers are extremely delicate, so I will use a good deal of careful packing.

Due to these careful packing practices, I do charge a little more for shipping, but this is to ensure your item is safe during transit. After all, we both want it to arrive safe and sound. All items are shipped with tracking within the United States.

Masks are carefully wrapped with bubblewrap, and packaged in such a way to prevent movement during transit. To ensure they arrive quickly and safely, all masks are sent via USPS Priority Mail within the United States, and via first class mail internationally.

For leather feathers and ACEOs, despite being small enough to simply mail in a regular letter envelope, I will not risk damage or loss to the piece by doing so! As with any original piece of artwork, I send it in a bubble mailer with backing, or a sturdy photomailer. Fortunately, since they're so small and light, if you order more than one, you only pay shipping for the first one! And if you order one with another item (such as a print or feather item), you don't pay any extra shipping for the ACEO or leather feather.

For international shipping, please check with your country's laws concerning collected taxes on shipped items. I am required by law to fill out customs forms completely, and all forms will be filled out accurately. Customers are responsible for their country's taxes on all shipments.

Please note, depending on your location, I may not be able to ship painted feathers or feather masks to certain countries due to international laws regarding feathers. If you are concerned about whether or not I can ship a feathered piece to your country, please contact me and I will check and let you know. Please be assured that all my feathers are from domestic or non-migratory birds. All painted feathers are done on turkey feathers.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase or if there is a problem with the item, please contact me. I will gladly accept returns within 7 days from the date of when you receive the item for prints. I cannot accept returns after 7 days, so if you need to return an item, please contact me as soon as possible. I cannot accept returns on masks, original artwork, leather feathers or leather wing necklaces.

For orders in the U.S., I will replace lost orders (orders that do not arrive within 3 weeks). I cannot replace lost international orders. Please understand that international orders can take up to a month to arrive, sometimes longer!
