❉ About the Artist
I'm a proud wife and mom of two
I could eat dark chocolate and popcorn all day long!
I like to play board games
Sitting on the beach is not my favorite vacation, (WHAAAT?!!) I actually like old places with history, and don't sit still well doing nothing!
Sewing is my other creative hobby.
I'm (trying) to learn Spanish and Dutch. Dutch is not going so well!

❉ What Does Wire Expressions™ Mean to Me?
All items come about as an expression of my creativity; everything is made with wire in some shape or form; and when you purchase Wire Expressions from me, it then becomes an expression as you wear it or give it away. So as you can see the name Wire Expressions™ was very deliberate.

❉ About Wire Expressions™ Design Process
People often ask how I get my designs so symmetrical. Well...lots of practice over the years, I enjoy repetition, I do not use a jig which I believe gives me more freedom in what I can create, and it is just how God has 'wired' my brain. Sometimes an idea comes to me very quickly, and other times I really have to work at it. Often a new idea will have yards of practice wire that ends up in the trash, until it comes out just right.

❉ What Is Sold In My Shop?
In my shop you'll find a mix of jewellery and unique gift items. The jewellery is typically made with .925 Sterling Silver.

I often hear the comment "What a clever idea!" I'm a practical person, so I also create non-jewellery gift items that have charm and function. (Non-jewellery items are not made with sterling silver...that's just not practical cost wise!)

❉ What You Can Expect From Me
If I won't wear it or use it....I don't think you would either, so I’ve tested my designs to make sure they are ready for the everyday person. Designing simple beautiful things that anyone can admire or have a little fun with is something that gives me great joy, so I want Wire Expressions to be a good experience for you.

Thank you for shopping! A lot has been happening with regards to the postal service in the last couple of months and my shipping policies are becoming quite long as a result. I appreciate your business, but do want you to be fully informed. Please read the IMPORTANT POINTS below in my "SHIPPING POLICIES" and the FULL summary below in the "ADDITIONAL POLICIES & FAQ's" Section. Here are the important points:

Please take a moment to read through these shop policies. When you make a purchase through my shop, I assume that you have read and understand my shop policies. I strive for my customers to have a good experience purchasing from my shop. If you are unsure about any item, shipping or my shop policies before you purchase, please contact me, I would rather you be well informed, than disappointed (which will make me disappointed too).

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
❉ I'm not satisfied with an item I received, Can I return it?
I’d like you to be happy, so I'm happy to return items with the following conditions:
• Contact me within 5 days of receiving your item BEFORE you return your purchase.
• Return the item unworn, and in its original packaging within 7 days of delivery.
• Earrings are subject to a $3.50 CDN return fee. (So I can swap the earring hooks for hygiene reasons). If the earring hook or stud can be removed and replaced on a new pair, I am happy to discuss an earring exchange and wave the return fee.
• Return shipping will be your responsibility and refunds or exchanges will only be made once the item has been received by me. *****NOTE*****: Shipping from outside Canada, MUST be sent by regular Post (USPS), and clearly marked "RETURNED MERCHANDISE" on the outside of the package. Packages sent any other way will not be accepted due to the Canadian customs process.
• If an item is damaged during shipping, good quality photographic proof is required of BOTH the damaged product AND the packaging. (Please hang onto the item as it may be requested back). An identical replacement item will be sent based on availability.

Sorry, refunds or exchanges will NOT be issued on the following items:
• Toe-rings or earrings where the part that goes through your ear is part of a continuous piece of wire to make up part of the earring design. (For hygiene reasons) - See above, other earrings will have a return fee applied.
• Items labelled as ‘Final Sale’ or ‘Clearance’
• Personalized, Custom Designed items, or Large volume orders.
• Deposits or Other Fees associated with personalized orders, custom orders large volume orders, or where supplies were ordered in specifically for your order.
• Returns or exchanges will NOT be accepted on special occasion orders after the date of the event.

❉ To my US & International Customers: Returns MUST be sent by USPS only and the packaging must be clearly marked "RETURNED MERCHANDISE" on the outside of the package. I reserve the right to refuse packages sent any other way, as there may be large fees for couriers like UPS/FedEx to clear the package through customs into Canada. You MUST contact me BEFORE returning your order.

❉ Once the item is received by me, a refund less applicable shipping will be issued. I am happy to answer any questions prior to purchasing if you are not sure about my policies or an item in my shop.

❉ What forms of payment do you accept?
All Major Credit Cards, Etsy Gift Cards and PayPal.

❉ Local customers can contact me if you would like to pay by e-transfer and pick your order up to save on shipping.

❉ Orders will not made or shipped until full payment is received.

❉ Items are listed in Canadian Funds. Any mention of prices in listing descriptions or through correspondence from me will always be in Canadian Dollars. Your Etsy browser will automatically convert the listing price to the currency you have selected as your preference.

All orders should have arrived to their destinations by now, and the worst of the holiday volume shipping delays may be over. Please contact me if you have any concerns about delayed orders.

❉ What methods do you offer for shipping?
** STANDARD SHIPPING **
These orders will be sent by Canada Post Letter Mail. This service does NOT provide tracking, however it is usually fairly quick during non holiday times.
** UPGRADE YOUR SHIPPING **
NEW as of Jan 2019, customers have the option of upgrading their shipping from Standard Letter Mail to the following:
--> USA - USPS First Class Package - includes tracking and faster US Customs clearance. This service is driven across the US border by a third party courier once a week. In some cases this service may add 1-3 days to the processing time of your order as the drop off location is a significant drive away for me, you will receive a notification regarding any extra processing time.
--> CANADA - Registered Letter Mail or Expedited Parcel - includes a tracking number & $100 insurance this option may require a signature for delivery. (Service used will be at the discretion of the shop owner depending on your location and the actual cost of shipping, in most cases it will be Registered Letter)

If you need it faster, would like a tracking number or full insurance then please contact me before you order to make different shipping arrangements.


❉ When will my items ship?
Each listing states a processing/'Ships by' time. This is the amount of time it takes to get your order in the mail - this NOT the time of delivery. Typically In stock orders will ship within 1-3 business days. Made to Order, Custom Orders and Volume Order times may vary.


❉ Where do you ship?
Orders ship to Canada & the United States to the address on the order. Before you click order, please double check to make sure it is correct. I'm happy to ship to other countries too, please contact me to get a shipping quote.


❉ What about Customs & Duty?
Wire Expressions is located in Canada, there may be fees for a package to clear customs into your country. It is your responsibility to be aware of the policies set by your own country and to pay all fees that may be applied. Packages which are refused and returned to sender will only be refunded as per my return policies less shipping and any fees incurred by myself.


❉ Marked as a Gift
Etsy has introduced the 'Marked as Gift' feature for buyers, so that invoices sent do not show prices. I do not normally include a paper copy of your invoice, unless it is required for customs purposes. In this case the value of your purchase is shown in Canadian Funds. I will do my best to be sensitive to the 'Marked as Gift' feature, However, it is illegal for me to mark the customs form as a gift and not to declare the value of the goods inside. ‘Marked as Gift’ is not a gift wrapping service.


❉ What if my package does not arrive?
This is a rare occurrence, but if your package has not arrived within 10 business days from the shipment date, please contact me so I know. My policy is then to wait the following additional number of days for it to arrive.
CANADA - 10 additional Business Days
USA - 20 additional Business Days
INTERNATIONAL - 35 additional Business Days
After this total time, if the package has not shown up at your address or back at mine, then your order will be re-shipped as originally ordered.
***During Peak holiday times, these shipping times may take longer.***
***Business day is defined as Mon-Fri excluding statutory holidays.***


❉ Undeliverable Mail / Incorrect Addresses
PLEASE make sure your address is correct & complete and that you are able to receive mail at the address provided. I ship to the address as it is listed on the order. If you move or provide an incorrect address, your package will most likely by returned back to me. The return mail process can take several weeks. When a returned order is received, I will make attempts to contact you (the buyer) to provide a correct & current address where the order can be reshipped to. Cost of re-shipping the order will be at the buyers expense.

NOTE: If it’s my error, I’ll own it, but if it’s yours…I will do my best to work with you to resolve it, but it will be up to you to cover the cost of replacement or reshipping. If you choose not to have it reshipped, a refund will only be issued for items received by me for the CDN value the order. Personalized or custom made orders will not be refunded if you choose not to have it reshipped.


❉ Shipping during holiday’s, peak times & special occasions
I really wish I could control the weather, the postal workers, and just how many people may be shipping this and that at peak times during the year…I can’t, so I suggest ordering early so to avoid disappointment. Since I do not control what happens within the postal service, I cannot make guarantees on delivery times. Sorry, Refunds or credits are not issued if orders do not arrive in time for special events or holidays and items will only be re-shipped after the above time has passed.

Please note this could affect the time it takes for orders to get through US Customs Your patience is appreciated. It's recommended that you upgrade your shipping, as this service will be driven across the border to USPS.

❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ ❉ *****CANADA POST LABOUR DISPUTE INFORMATION **** January 10, 2019 Update - While the Canada Post Strike is over, there still may be delays as a result of labor action that was taken and the volume mail shipped over the holidays. Please be advised and read my shop policies so you are well informed. *****Nov 28, 2018 Canada Post Employees held rotating strikes between Oct 22 to Nov 27. They have now been legislated back to work. Wire Expressions has been shipping orders as usual. Delays may occur if the order goes through a city that has seen significant backlogs in mail processing due to strikes. For more information on what this means, please see shop policies Shipping information. Updates will be Posted here as necessary.

❉ Should I delay ordering from you?
Please no! Please continue to support small business! My packages have still been getting to their destinations (most) with minimal delays. Most of my orders are shipped by Lettermail, which I’m told by my post office is sorted differently and therefore is not seeing the same delays that Parcel Mail is seeing. I have been monitoring the orders that I can and I'm requesting customers send me a note when their package arrives so that I know how long service is taking.

❉ What is a 'Rotating Strike' and how will it affect my order shipment?
From my best understanding, a rotating strike will affect a few cities at a time on a rotating basis. The good news is, this is NOT a full shut down of services. There may be delays with shipments, but not total stoppage all together. I may need to increase the processing time on your order if a rotating strike affects my city, however, I am still committed to getting orders out quickly as soon as service resumes to full capacity.

❉ Note: there will be no refunds, exchanges or credits do to mail being delayed because of Canada Post Strikes or any other holiday shipping delays. Please order early and allow extra time just in case.

❉ Will it get here in time for Christmas?
My goal is to get your order out of my hands and in the mail as quickly as possible so it has the most time to get to you. However, once it leaves my hands I cannot guarantee delivery times. A number of things factor into postal delivery such as weather, holiday days, holiday mail volume as well as our recent Canada Post strikes. If you have any questions about your order, you may contact me. If you would like to have your orders shipped using tracking please contact me before placing your order. US Customers have the option of paying a bit extra to have their order shipped via USPS First Class or Priority Mail with tracking. Canadian Customers have the option of having their orders shipped via registered letter mail for an additional $10.50 CDN. (These options do not guarantee a delivery time though at this time of year)

❉ Notes about the manufacturing process:
Each item is handmade without the aid of a jig therefore slight variations in size or shape may occur from one similar piece to another. I do not make one of kind pieces, so slight variations may be seen from the photo to the actual item you receive. Tool marks may be slightly visible on some pieces. (i.e. the lettering where the wire folds over itself). This is not considered a defect.


❉ Wire Expressions is manufactured in a smoke & pet free environment.


❉ Wire Expressions contains small parts and may have sharp or rough edges and therefore is not suitable for children.


❉ PRIVACY and How Wire Expressions uses your information:
• The personal information that you provide through the Etsy site when placing an order from my shop will only be used for the purposes of filling your order, and may include communicating with you about your order.
• In the event communication necessary for filling your order is not successful through the Etsy Convo system (ie. you do not respond), I will attempt to email you at the email address provided to me with your order.
• Unless communication is required to fill your order, you will never receive any other communication from Wire Expressions either via Mail, Email or the Etsy Convo system, unless you specifically request it and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
• The circumstances in which I may share your data with a third party are:
