Luminous Particulars
I enjoy making things with my hands and have been doing so since childhood. I especially like making things with a connection to nature.
This cozy little shop is where I offer my wares to you. Most offerings are made with my two hands, though I sometimes sell de-stash items from my workshop or closet.
I am the founder and facilitator of Mighty Girl Art™ empowerment camp for tweens. Proceeds from noted sales help me to live the life I love, by serving the girls in my community. The funds enable me to buy extras for my students or donate seats in my workshop to fundraisers for the local elementary school.
Formerly a NYC native, I now reside in Northern Virgina. I work in many mediums because I'm a bit of an explorer at heart. My disciplines include painting, photography, book arts, assemblage, and jewelry. I have been exhibiting my work since 1986. My work has been published in the US, Canada and the UK and has been sold at charity events such as the "Postcards From the Edge" benefit for Visual AIDS of NYC; Northern Virginia Family Service; and The Fund for Women Artists.
Yes, I LOVE donating work for a cause and I love to barter - please inquire.
