I’m an encaustic artist based in northeast Ohio, creating original beeswax paintings inspired by nature, memories, and my imagination. I hold a B.A. in Studio Art from Allegheny College, with a background in drawing and ceramics, and I’ve strengthened my encaustic practice through advanced workshops with encaustic masters.
I began working with encaustic wax in 2018 and was immediately drawn to the medium’s depth, texture, and quiet unpredictability. Using beeswax and heat feels like a natural extension of my ceramics roots. Each piece is carefully guided, yet allowed to evolve organically through layered wax, pigment, and heat.
Nature is my primary muse. I grew up roaming woods, meadows, and ponds, and those early experiences still shape my work. I’m also deeply inspired by family photographs and heirlooms passed down through generations. While creating, I blend memories with fairy-tale elements, enchanted landscapes, and hidden places just beyond reach.
Every piece of art in my shop is entirely handmade by me in my studio. From from the first archival print or layer of wax to the final finish. Nothing is outsourced. I work slowly and intentionally, using professional materials and traditional encaustic methods to create pieces that are timeless, heirloom-quality, and meant to be kept - not trends, but works to live with and pass on.
I donate a minimum of 10% of my business profits to my local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), supporting mental health resources in my community.
