Announcement   Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion - now based in the UK - is specialized in one-of-a-kind pieces and hand-pulled screen-prints -> kick-ass clothing and accessories for subcultural people who want to express their attitude.

Do you feel different? - Even within your scene and you don't want to fit into categories or look like a blueprint? You need to show off your difference and want to be like "one of us" at the same time? I'm Janina and punkrock is my culture, but I don't want to limit myself and I like a lot of styles from gothic and deathrock to post-apocalyptic and steampunk.

I create from my own tested patterns and extraordinary fabrics to make you feel sexy, comfortable and unique. I already use only fair-trade, organic shirts for my prints, renewable energy and reclaimed shipping materials. Now I'm in the progress to implement organic fabrics for my designs as well.

Visit me and my blog for a look behind the scenes, DIY tips and special deals at http://www.zebraspider.de

About

DIY & out of the ordinary clothing and stuff for all you fashion outlaws out there

I have always been creative and doing many different things in my free time - drawing, painting, printing, crafting, photography, design, organizing,... - but sewing is my real passion.

I started making my own clothes about 20 years ago and I am completely self-taught. I always wanted to look unique and different - just like I feel. For me it is also regeneration from everyday life and my full time job. For that reason I usually don't have the time to do custom orders, sorry. However, I have a lot of experience and a serger to offer you good quality clothing. I'm doing everything myself from my home, but sometimes friends help me to model or take the photos.

I discovered screen-printing a while ago and love all the endless possibilities. I also started thinking about ecological aspects of clothing and what I can do about it. So in the furure you will find more made from organic cotton also in my shop.

I love: to sew, dye, print, draw, craft and doing everything myself, music on vinyl, concerts and festivals, zebra and leopard patterns, tattoos

Production partners

  • Awesome Merchandise

    Leeds, England

I decided for some badges with my patch designs, but I don't have a badge machine. I wanted good quality from a local company, so I picked Awesome Merchandise from Leeds.

  • Nikkifaktur

    Dresden, Germany

Nikkifaktur prints my design by digital textile printing with water-based inks on a Kornit Thunder machine, that works like a big inkjet printer. In that way it is possible to print multi-color designs with fine details and color gradients, which is unfeasible with the screen printing I do myself.

  • Onbones / Fairdruckt eG

    Münster, Germany

Onbones Collective (formerly Fairdruckt) is a small cooperative with a screen printing workshop. They only use fairly traded shirts and print with eco-friedly water-based ink, just like I do in my own screen printing. They help me with larger runs of prints, for that I do not have the space at home.
