Welcome to Zilvera's jewelry shop! Thank you for stopping by.

My jewelry is inspired by nature, its beauty and diversity. It is original, colorful and single edition. All my pieces are designed and implemented by me, in my home atelier. My own cats are great sources of inspiration for my cat jewelry.

The name "Zilvera"comes partially from "zilver" (silver in Dutch) and partially from "Vera" which means "true" or "genuine" in Latin. My philosophy is offering "true" silver and other materials, like gemstones. I am not a big fan of silver-filled or silver-plated and never advertise these materials as silver.

I procure from reputable suppliers to be certain the materials in my jewelry don't harm the earth or the people who work with them. Quality goes over quantity. Sustainability over one-day trends. In many of my pieces recycling techniques are used. Such as for instance the Dutch Delft Method of clay casting. If you have old silver at home - broken or just worn out in any sense - you can order a piece made of your own metal, giving it a second life.

My etsy shop was opened in December 2010. Selling jewelry is not an easy business! Nevertheless I don't give it up, hoping that one day all my pieces will find their - happy - wearers. And that will make me very happy too.

It goes without saying that all my jewelry pieces have a quality guarantee, provided they are properly handled. If something breaks unexpectedly, I will repair it free of charge or issue a refund.

I also like communicating with buyers on any issue. Such as customization, care for silver and gemstones and even repairs. Every kind of feedback is welcome since it helps me to grow in my craftsmanship.

Welcome to Zilvera's jewelry. If you are looking for the jewelry which is truly handmade, unique and friendly - towards the wearer and towards the environment - you are at the right address.

My items are designed and handcrafted by myself in my atelier. It means that each piece is absolutely one of a kind. It also means that two pieces in a pair or in a set cannot be absolutely identical due to variations in materials and processing. For instance, two hand-cut precious stones used for a pair of dangles, inevitably vary in size and color.

I use quality materials and techniques which do not harm the nature, my own health, and last but not least - the health of the wearer, All materials and components are explicitly named in the product description. In my opinion, honesty lives longest. This is why I use labels "silver' and "gold" only if the items are made of solid silver (900%%+) and gold (14k+), not silver-filled, gold-plated etc.

If you are allergic to certain materials like sterling silver, I can, where technically possible, customize such parts as ear hooks making them of fine silver or surgical steel. My jewelry is free of hazardous substances which are known to cause irritation when contacting the skin. If any chemical substance (like glue) is applied, it is not applied to the places of contact with the skin.

I test wear every piece to feel it. You can also see some pictures where I act as a model for my jewelry. After test-wearing all these pieces get meticulously cleaned with soap, hot water, and in some cases, with alcohol. Leather necklaces are never test-worn on naked skin since they can not be cleaned properly.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details
I. Online appearance, conformity and right of withdrawal.

The items are sold in the state as they are described and depicted in the photographs. The photographs are considered to contain complete information,
including all eventual irregularities. The buyer is considered to have received and taken notice of the information contained in the description and the photographs.
However, not all details can be depicted. The non-visible side may have a different surface polishing degree, which makes it less shiny. Deviations in color are also possible.
If the jewelry piece does not meet your expectations, please contact me and we shall look together how to resolve this issue.
EU buyers have the right of withdrawal during 14 days from the item's arrival. During this period they can send the item back. The shipping expenses, in this case, will be borne by the buyer. As soon as the item arrives at zilvera's, the refund will take place.

II. Defect-free guarantee.

1. Upon arrival.
If any defect is found in the jewelry piece immediately upon arrival or during the first time the item is being worn, no matter the cause of it (damage during transport, design or fabrication defect) please contact zilvera with clear description/ photographs of the problem. In this case, the buyer has the following options:
a) refund of the total purchase amount including shipping costs. The buyer has to ship the item back, complete with all (broken) parts. As soon as the item arrives at zilvera's, the refund will take place.
b) repair free of charge. In this case, all shipping expenses, (including the return shipment to and from zilvera) will be borne by zilvera.

2. During wear.
Zilvera is not responsible for any damage during the wear, neither for the damage to the items themselves nor for the damage which may be caused by the articles (for instance, when unintentionally swallowing it).
However, as a courtesy, one of the above options (1a)refund or 1b)repair) can be offered. The splitting of the shipping and other costs will be agreed between zilvera and the buyer.

III. Loss during transport.

In case of a registered shipment, it is possible to track the shipment to find out whether it has been delivered or not. In case of a regular shipment, the buyer should present sufficient proof that (s)he never received the item.
As a courtesy, a replacement solution or a (partial) refund can be offered. Please, contact zilvera shop.
Payment options: Direct Checkout, PayPal or bank transfer (recommended for EU).

If an order is cancelled before the shipment on request of the buyer, the paid amount will be refunded minus appliccable charges (such as banking costs etc). If there are no costs, the whole amount will be reimbursed.
Zilvera is based in the Netherlands and all items are shipped from the Netherlands.
There're two modes of shipping: by registered mail and by regular mail. Items with a value of 70 USD or more are always shipped by registered mail. Less expensive items can be sent by registered mail on request of the buyer. In this case, the quoted shipping rate will be adjusted respectively (for instance: from 4 to 20 USD when shipping to the USA). A more expensive way of shipment can be provided on request. In this case the extra costs are for the buyer.

The buyer is responsible for any additional customs fees, duties, and import charges that may be levied at customs.
