This is a kit to make a fabulously stylish trapeze shape dress called Orla inspired by my love of Orla Kiely's retro style.
The kit includes the pattern, fabric, interfacing and thread along with a specially hand printed Sewgirl label to sew into your dress, all packed up in an eco friendly brown craft bag with label.
Orla kit would make a fantastic gift for a beginner or a keen dressmaker. The pattern is sized from 8-22.
Orla dress pattern has two options to make with a simple neck facing or a button placket at the front neck with binding edging (see blue and white pic)**. Both versions come with side pockets, long or short sleeve option and two different lengths: calf length or knee length (please see last picture for finished garment details). Please note that the kit is to make the version B with a simple neck facing.
The kit contains the following, all packed up in a brown kraft bag with twisted handles as shown in the first picture:
- An Orla pattern which includes a comprehensive illustrated instruction booklet* and actual size templates on two large format sheets 75 gsm paper.
- 2m (sizes 8-12) or 2.4m (sizes 14-22) of fabric, either 100% cotton eco washed denim or 70% Ramie linen/30%cotton, enough to make a dress in short or long length and either sleeve length.
- 20cm of fusible medium weight interfacing
- A button
- A reel of thread
- A Sewgirl specially hand printed label

*The instructions are in English only with imperial and metric measurements.
**Bias binding is not included in the kit.
