I've created this 18" necklace in lovely sparkling shades of blue and gold. I've used a mix of crystal and glass, finishing it with a 24kt vermeil (24kt gold over sterling silver) hook and eye clasp with granulation.

The beads are a mix of crystal, lampwork and a glass with a vintage feel. The blue square beads are vintage (I'm not sure how old) and have little stars etched into each side of them which are gilded.

This necklace makes me think of Van Gogh's Starry Nights painting. Inky blues and violets with bright blue and golden stars.
