A fantastic vintage Pierre Vergnes Durfort long handled copper pan, made around the mid-late 1900s, sourced from a flea market in the Haute-Vienne.

The Pierre Vergnes workshop was established in 1950 in Durfort, in the Tarn department of France, creating professional quality copperware, retaining the traditional manufacturing methods that have made the Durfort region famous for its copperware.

This quite rare unlined pan has a lightly hammered, rounded base and a rolled top edge, designed for fireside cooking. It is in fantastic, near perfect condition showing no sign of previous use. The long iron handles has a hook for hanging and is attached withe two copper rivets next to the Pierre Vergnes Durfort stamp. The pan is unlined, so need to be lined for cooking unless using sugar based recipes.

As is, this quality piece of French cookware would be perfect as decorative kitchen item.

Obsessed of this Pan!!! I use it every single day to make my chicken and more. really good Quality and the customerservice with Tony was great, he writes you really fast back so you don't need to wait so long. The Packaging was the best i ever see in my life sagex plates in the top and bottom of the Parcel, allover bubble wrap for the Pan, and lid and also strong Paper.
