~*~Printing & Sizing~*~
---I Print my designs on EMBROIDERY STABILIZER paper vs tracing on press and seal. It gets rid of one step and is a huge time saver. You can find packs of 8.5x11" sheets on Amazon. If you would rather used press and seal, print on regular paper and trace onto press and seal. ---

For the hats shown in my examples, print the template at approximately 7.25 inches wide (measuring from the widest points of the template). You may have to crop the image in Word or Canva and size it accordingly - most programs do NOT keep the original size of imported files.

Since hat brands and styles vary, you may need to increase or decrease the size slightly for the best fit.

~*~After printing~*~
-Cut out the template along the outside border.
-Position it on the front of your hat.
-The V-shaped cutout is designed to wrap around the top button of the hat. As you position the template, the two sides of the “V” will naturally fold together at the top, allowing the template to contour to the curved front panel.

Tip: I recommend printing a test copy on regular printer paper first to check the fit before transferring it to your final material.

~*~Burning Tips~*~
These ball cap templates are smaller than my wide-brim hat templates, so I recommend using a fine-tip burner for the cleanest results.

For the smallest details, I personally prefer to burn them freehand directly onto the hat while using the template as a reference rather than transferring every tiny line with Press’n Seal or transfer paper. I find this produces cleaner results and is much easier on detailed designs.
