"We carry a quiet paradox inside us. We walk through the world feeling solid and separate, yet we are fluid vessels, roughly sixty percent water, kept alive by a slow, steady inner fire."

THE IDEA: FIRE INSIDE WATER
The heavy, still water in the glass meets the glow at its base. Fire and water should cancel each other out, but here they don't. They hold each other in place. That's the paradox: opposites don't destroy each other. They keep each other grounded in the present.

The same is true of us. Our outer form feels solid and contained. Inside, our energy is fluid and always burning.

HOW IT WAS MADE
This is a digital ink drawing made from my original oil painting. Redrawing it in ink stripped it back to its structure. Dense cross-hatching and fine lines map the light, the shadow and the edges of the glass. The jug works like a lens: light bends through the water, blurs its edges and gathers into a bright point at the floor of the glass. Ripples spread across the table beneath it.

A quiet note on process: an AI tool helped translate my painting into line. I then checked, corrected and redrew it by hand, so every mark you see has passed through my own eye and hand. No stock images, and no other artist's work.

WHAT IT DOES FOR A ROOM
