Vintage Chicago-area artist Elise Pike Lerman (Canadian/American, 1927-2018) oil portrait on canvas, features an African American man wearing a golden earring, white shirt and green suspenders, signed on the bottom left.

Elise was from Paris Ontario Canada. She received her B.A. from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Upon graduation, she completed three years of study at Ontario College of Art in Toronto. She moved to Chicago to study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she pursued her passion of capturing the human figure.

In very good condition with some minimal imperfections.
