I Sara Thursfield am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.
When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Etsy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on Etsy, I will receive your username and email address.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With Etsy to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for seven years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.

When, why and how we collect your personal information:
Sara Thursfield asks you, the customer to supply various personal information when creating an account, placing an order and while contacting us. This information will be your name, email address, postal address, payment processor and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information for a custom order if you contact us directly.
We will never ask you for your bank details. We never see any of the details you enter at checkout except your name and address and the item you have purchased.
The third party involved when delivering your order to you is Royal Mail.
How we keep your personal information secure:
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent authorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Sara Thursfield keeps an electronic and paper record of your order details, name and delivery address. Electronic records are kept on Excel spread sheets which are password protected and not stored on a shared computer. Paper records are stored in a locked filing cabinet. These records are kept for internal record keeping and tax purposes and are destroyed after 7 years.
Controlling your personal information:
We do not pass your personal information on to third parties and will only use your information to process your order and keep you updated with progress. We will not use your information for marketing or advertising purposes and you can request the information we hold about you at any time. You may also request it to be deleted or changed. If you would like a copy of the information held, please contact us using the contact page. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
