About

Wearable works of art

From my London studio I handcraft abstract & colourful statement jewellery.

I’ve been an artist all my life. I trained and worked as both a graphic designer and an abstract painter for nearly two decades. A few years back I began to explore other formats, beyond the traditional canvas. I began making small 3D geometric clay sculptures reflective of my linear abstract painting series (http://bit.ly/1KFCH95). What was a quick exploration soon become a full on jewellery making endeavour!

My love for colour and process has a strong presence in my art so with the same paints and brushes, I began approaching the clay's faceted surfaces and edges like miniature and wearable works of art. Therefore, I think my approach to jewellery making is that of a painter, and I like to work with non-traditional jewellery making materials such as clay, paint and ribbon.
