The meaning is meant to be shared.
Being inspired to create a unique and meaningful wedding of my own; I became intrigued by the ancient history and meaning of creating 1000 origami cranes to bring the ultimate wish to the one who accomplishes the task. After my 2016 wedding, I realized my love for the symbolization of the origami crane; peace, happiness and good luck, was something I wanted to continue sharing. Thats when my creativity took over and Branching Off Studio was born.
All of the origami cranes are created using a single piece of paper. Most cranes are finished with a UV and moisture resistant sealant to help preserve the integrity of the paper.
Kusudama flowers; traditional origami flowers, are each made folding 5 individual petals and fastening them together. The centers are finished with a variety of buttons such as rhinestones, wood, buttons, or pearls.
Origami lilies are crafted from a single piece of paper and finished with 2 or 3 pearl stems in the centers.
Each piece is handcrafted with hand selected papers. All my love and thought goes into each piece made. If your interested in my work but don't see what your looking for, please message me for custom items.
