A few years ago, while I was studying for my degree in Special Education, we learned that my brother had been diagnosed with cancer. From that moment on, I never left his side — I spent many long hours and days with him in the hospital. During that time, I was looking for something to help pass the time, and unexpectedly I found my old sketchbook, which I hadn’t touched since I graduated from high school.
That’s how I returned to drawing, and I continued to create art consistently over the past three years, until my brother recovered.
Today, as a teacher, I know that I need an additional source of income, and I would love to turn my art — the thing I enjoy doing most — into that extra income. In this way, everyone who supports me and my art is also supporting a teacher and an artist.
