I fist started to crochet as a teenager when my grandmother and mother taught me. I think of them every time I start a new project, especially my grandmother when I have to pull a few stitches out and start over. I hear my grandmother saying “you better fix that or the whole thing will be crooked!”
At first I started out making simple things like baby blankets, scarves and with much difficulty hats. But I really enjoyed the process so I kept it up over the years experimenting with different patterns and stitches. I discovered I really didn’t like following patterns very much because you could only be so creative with them. Now I rarely follow a pattern unless it’s of my own design.
Crocheting is something I really love to do and after some encouragement from my family I decided to share my creations. And here we are today!! Thank you for taking the time read about me.
Sincerely
Melanie
