Creating a tangible item from the meticulous detail found in books, is a my latest form of fun. Of course, some detail is provided through context and implication, but I try my best to remain true in my process.

Whilst reading, there are a lot of post it notes involved, photos taken of reference items/text, and ideas drawn from other forms of media. Once a book has been completed, design starts. It typically takes me a few hours to get a base idea down, but for the most part, once I find the inspiration, I have the idea almost immediately.

Designs are finalized, test printed, double checked for sizing, and then completed. Single sided prints are completed on 150 lb cardstock, double sided are done with two separate pieces of 70 lb cardstock (aka 140 lb cardstock).
