Bienvenido a Falling Up Creative. Soy Colleen, diseñadora gráfica y madre de tres hijos. He estado trabajando en marketing y diseño desde que me gradué de la universidad (¡más tiempo del que me importa admitir!). He tenido la oportunidad de trabajar en muchos proyectos divertidos: anuncios y revistas, postales y presentaciones, pequeños iconos web y enormes oficios como gráficos. Pero mi favorito, con mucho, ha sido diseñar para eventos y días festivos.
Me encanta crear un look and feel para un evento; comenzando con guardar la fecha o una invitación y terminando con las decoraciones y los materiales necesarios para el gran día en sí. Ya sea una boda, una fiesta de cumpleaños para niños o un gran evento corporativo; ¡las invitaciones correctas pueden comenzar su evento con una explosión!
En los últimos años, he dejado el mundo corporativo para quedarme en casa con mis hijos, pero no he dejado de crear. Tener tres hijos, además de sus amigos y otros miembros de la familia, me ha dado la oportunidad de diversificarme y comenzar a diseñar invitaciones para fiestas infantiles. Si bien siempre fue emocionante diseñar algo para una gran audiencia, diseñar para niños ha sido aún más agradable. En primer lugar, puedes ser DIVERTIDO y dejar volar tu imaginación. Y, por supuesto, un niño va a ser mucho más entusiasta expresando su alegría por su invitación que un CEO corporativo.
Las vacaciones son otro amor mío, los que me conocen saben que tiendo a exagerar para cada evento: grandes fiestas como Navidad (por supuesto), más pequeñas como el Día de San Valentín, incluso cosas como el primer y último día de escuela cada año. Afortunadamente, hay otra oportunidad para el diseño allí, así que he podido combinar dos de mis cosas favoritas.

Welcome to Falling Up Creative. I'm Colleen, graphic designer and mom of three. I've been working in marketing and design since I graduated from college (longer than I care to admit!). But my favorite by far has been designing for events and holidays.
I love to create a look and feel for an event; starting with save-the-date or an invitation and ending with decorations and materials needed for the big day itself. Whether it's a wedding, a kid's birthday party, or a big corporate event; the right invitations can start your event off with a bang!
In the past few years, I've left the corporate world to stay home with my kids, but haven't stopped creating. Having three children, plus their friends and other family members, has given me the opportunity to branch out and start designing invitations for kids' parties. While it was always a thrill to design something for a large audience, designing for kids has been even more enjoyable. First of all, you get to be FUN and let your imagination go wild. And of course, a child is going to be so much more enthusiastic expressing their joy over their invitation than a corporate CEO.
Holidays are another love of mine - those that know me know I tend to go overboard for every event - big holidays like Christmas (of course), smaller ones like Valentine's Day, even things like the first and last days of school each year. Luckily, there's another opportunity for design there, so I've been able to combine two of my favorite things.
