I created the Kannan Creative Universe (KCU) to tell the kind of stories I didn’t see growing up.

There was a lack of South Asian representation in Western action and genre cinema, especially stories that place us at the center as heroes, not side characters.

Venomous Viper began as a way to change that. A British-Indian protagonist from the diaspora, stepping into a world of espionage, action, and global stakes.

I’m inspired by the scale and ambition of global cinema, combined with the style and impact of South Asian storytelling, especially Tamil cinema’s iconic character introductions and mass moments.

I also draw inspiration from real-world experiences, identity, and the desire to create stories that resonate with people who haven’t always seen themselves represented on the big screen. At its core, my work is about storytelling, empowerment, and building something that feels bigger than just a single project. What started as a teaser has grown into a larger universe where every design, symbol, and piece of merch connects back to a story I’m building. This shop is an extension of that vision.
