The way I look at things my shop really started years ago in the 1960's and 1970's with my Mom and my aunt(my mom's fraternal twin). When my aunt came to visit us in Washington State or we went to Montana to visit her they would pack my two cousins and I in the car and away we would go out on the hunt. Certainly not for animals or for just plain old shopping with the girls. But to the local thrift shops,garage sales and antique stores of the west. This was even before it was the "in" thing to do. My cousins and I would never know what treasures we would find on those excursions. Both my Mom and Aunt would amaze me how they could find a rugged old table or dresser and see how it could be fixed up to be useful again. These memories have stuck with me over the years. When I married my husband who has a degree in history I continued with him the treasure hunts to find just right items to make a home. Lucky me! Later on our oldest Shannon was born and she and both her younger siblings were taught our hunting ways.Because she and her sister where children of the 80's, when they were both in their later teens and 20's Shannon started collecting the original Care bears and her sister Popples. It started to become a family project to do the search. Later on when I started selling on the other E just for fun I found that the vintage toys were my very favorite to sell. I think because they bring back memories of not only my childhood but my children's too. Then to my much happiness I discovered Etsy and which helped the things I loved to find homes. It was a much better fit than Ebay, which I was using before. So on February 14 on Valentines day I made the switch and have not looked back. My greatest joy is to find items I love myself new homes. I love wrapping them up for the buyer with the care and respect vintage items deserve and my hope is that it brings the buyer joy when they open the package. My aim is for my shop to live up to it's name. Loved Once More.
