About me
I love new tech, and creating things - so it made sense for me to buy a 3D printed and tinker around as a new hobby. I made things for the house at first, like door stops, toys for my kids, and practical objects.
Then, my wife asked if I could make a set of leaving gifts for her Y11 leavers classes, and I designed them bookmarks and keyrings. When other people saw them and were interested, ManyLayers was born.
I've been a gamer basically all my life, was one of the first in the UK to use computer graphic design in my Art A-Level, and then went to Uni to study Computer Graphics.
I'm a fan of the low poly style, so a lot of the models I'm working on will be in that theme and are coming soon to the store - so add us as a favourite to check in on what's happening next!
I'm aware of the environmental impact and make as many positive choices to minimise it, though to some extent it's inevitable with the materials. PLA is made from plants, with less environmental impact that traditional plastics, and it's biodegradable. All my packaging is recyclable, and I'm working on ways to recycle the waste PLA too.
