5 out of 5 starsA wonderful collection with (Handel & Purcell) their associates (Abiell Whichello and Francis Pigott, respectively). the collection shines with a number of unknown composers to the writer musicians from London. Besides publisher Robert Bremmer, Jacob Kirkman's (influential harpsichord builder), nephew of the same name harpsichordist & composer, the collection becomes unique & outstanding in the inclusion of Harpsichord compositions by composers Elizabeth Hardin (published 1770 when she was 20, organist at St. Peter-le-Poer) and Jane Savage (published 1783), Organist at "The Asyllum" (Magdalen Hospital, with the associated reference to Mary Magdalen's biblical occupation) where the occupation of organist solely filled by Women. Purchased for the Harpsichord, well recorded, delightful pieces from harpsichord final decades.

5 out of 5 starsExcellent performance on an original instrument of an English Baroque composer, frequently overlooked.

5 out of 5 starsI would have preferred the music without the clapping but that is not the fault of the shop. Everything went well - shipping, etc.

5 out of 5 starsThis CD is quite exceptional! It is the first time for me to listen to the sound of John Merlin’s down-striking action piano! The performance and sound are excellent!
