2001
I love colors and flowers!
I began with my idea of a radically new soap.
I thought if swirls and chunks can be designed into sliced glycerin soap, why not a purposeful, symmetrical and beautiful picture design completely made of the same soap within one molded bar of soap? The idea was to create something I could share with others that could bring them ... JOY
My first attempt was dramatic, but after the colors ran together then completely turned white, I gave up. It wasn't until I tried to reinvent it again years later when God truly led me to the right products and colors to try again...
2008
You have to understand why I say "God". I never saw soap like I imagined in my mind. I didn't have one clue what I was doing. I just pictured it in my head what I wanted to create and then prayed for a way to make it succeed. I didn't even know where to look for what I needed, ~ but, I was given all the answers and resources one afternoon sitting at my desk. I am self taught with nearly no resources except the talent of creativity I learned from my parents, genetically as well as intellectually.
However, God did know the desires of my heart and my personal life story which evolved the name "PureHeart" from Psalms 51:10 (NIV) and PureHeart Ministries...
So, with a new gait, I ordered everything I needed and wah-lah ~Success! And not just success but a unique and dramatic way to create soap. I feel very blessed to have been given the talent to create a high quality product with my hands.
I wanted my designs to last and not go away the first washing or two, so nearly every soap I make will have it's integrity until nearly the end, and in many cases the design in the center is the last thing to go.
So, let's say you like the Moose Woodland soap. The Moose is centered to last for decor during the weeks you use the soap.
I want a soap that pleases and brings joy to every possible sense, including visual, every time you use it.
I started with PureHeart 2008, then joined on Etsy in 2009.
There were some embedded soaps but non as detailed as I made. My parents were hard workers with their handmade business. I learned how to work hard this way with detail...
2011
I then began downsizing the soap into mini designs to match my large soaps for bath sets and started selling them well at Craft fairs. I saw there was a need for smaller soaps that could be customized and offered "SoapFavor" on Etsy in 2011 as a venue for those looking for something personal and customized for their special event as well as affordable to give to every guest.

I have so much fun working with my customers. I LOVE my customers and when I can make them happy, I am completely satisfied with my work...
2013
I am excited to experience the customers with custom requests on SoapFavor and continuing my new creations and original designs on both Etsy shops. I am always adding new ideas :)
Thank you for reading! (a bit more about the soap below...) ~Shari
True Story....
A wonderful customer of mine, Miss Carrie Kelly, who soon became my dearest friend had me over to her apartment perhaps a year after she began using my soap.
When I went to use her restroom, I was swept off my feet by what she did with every soap she ever used!
Can you believe she saved every small sliver of soap (and I mean very small slivers) and lined them all down the top of her back splash of her bath counter to display the artwork still left inside the soap.
She did not do this for me, it was her way of keeping the art after the soap was used.
She ended up moving, and I never got a picture of those silly soap slivers!
