Frequently asked questions
What am I purchasing?
All products from Slate & Sum Studio are instant digital downloads. Most spreadsheet listings include both a Microsoft Excel workbook and a PDF giving access to the Google Sheets version. The shop also includes printable or fillable PDF packs. Each listing states the exact files and software included. No physical product will be shipped.
What software do I need?
For spreadsheet products, use Microsoft Excel for the included .xlsx workbook or a Google account for the included Google Sheets version. You only need one of these options. PDF products can be opened with a standard PDF reader; some may also include fillable or Canva-compatible features where stated. Check the individual listing for exact requirements.
How do I receive my digital product?
After payment is confirmed, Etsy provides the files through your Purchases and Reviews page and by email. Combined spreadsheet listings normally include an Excel workbook plus a PDF containing the Google Sheets access link and instructions. Printable products provide the listed PDF files directly. Download purchases through a browser, as the Etsy app may not support file downloads.
Can Slate and Sum Studio see the information I enter?
No. We cannot see information entered into an Excel workbook saved on your device, your independent Google Sheets copy, or downloaded PDF files. Your files remain under your control. If you share a spreadsheet or upload a file to another service, review that service's sharing and privacy settings.
Can I customise the products?
Yes, where the listing states that editing is supported. Excel workbooks can be edited on your device, and Google Sheets templates can be customised in your own private copy, although formula cells may be protected. Printable products may include fillable PDF or Canva-compatible options. The listing and included guide explain the available features.
