We tailor-make and custom-build stationery to suit a range of needs
I've loved making and writing books since about the age of ten when I wrote my first book for children. I developed this interest further when I finished my studies and began working for a publisher as an industrial printmaker. It was a very messy job, but I loved it.
Just over ten years ago, I had a nasty accident and severed a tendon in my dominant hand. After many months of physio and recovery from major surgery, I learned to draw and write with my other hand while raising three children.
Move forward to the present ... during the first lockdown due to Covid-19, both my daughter and I were made redundant from our jobs in a ceramic painting, arts, and crafts studio serving the local community. Despite these obstacles and various setbacks, I returned to illustration work and wanted to do something positive for people by setting up an all-inclusive stationery store with my daughter, Jasmin after many discussions with people with hidden disabilities.
So, here is our store. We custom-build stationery to suit a variety of needs to ease visual stress, eye strain, visual disturbances, dyslexia, Irlen's Syndrome and also help people with mobility impairments. Our notebooks can be laid flat when open, making them more comfortable to write and draw in. Our journals can be designed to incorporate coloured pages (lavender, pink, yellow, cream, pale blue and pale green as well as white!). We can also include tabs, pockets, inserts and sticker sheets to store all our exclusives stickers in one place!
We regularly post on our Instagram grids, so if you want to see some of our works-in-progress, new product development and insight into us as team, pop over to @threadtalesuk to see more!
