Please note that courier costs are set by the delivery company. shipping costs from the UK to Australia for an item of this size was what was quoted from the deluvery company not ourselfs. A notification of damages upon arrival would have enabled us to find a resolution for you.

Unfortunately we were not made aware of this when the item had been received by the buyer. Had we been notified we would have had a chance to query with the courier company (where this has occured) and we would have been able to offer the buyer a means of resolution where you were 100% happy. We did send you a message asking for further information regarding the damage to which you agreed but unfortunately nothing was ever received, preventing us from helping you further. We have tried to help to the best of our ability to ensure you were 100% happy with your purchase.

4 out of 5 starsThe item itself was amazing unfortunately it was damaged in transit but this was resolved quickly with an alternative as the original order was no longer in stocks. I would have no problem with ordering from this company again as they went above and beyond to supply an alternative and offered a full refund if this was not acceptable

Reporting issues with products
All our products are quality checked before leaving our facility in perfect condition. On delivery, it is the customer’s responsibly to duly check the contents of their order before signing for it, and they should not accept delivery unless they are fully satisfied with the condition. Whereby it is not possible check the contents of your order on delivery, please specify you have inspected the box only (note condition of box if possible) and please check your order within 24 hours. Should you sign for the delivery and the contents are later discovered as damaged, the delivery company and The Quaint House will not assume liability.
Any discrepancies need to be reported within 24 Hours . Full T&C’s can be sent to you if requested
Maintaining your products
The customer is responsible for looking after his/her products and taking the necessary measures to maintain the look of the items. Tables in particular will experience wear and tear due to the extensive use they receive. We recommend that our wood tables be treated regularly with a clear matt Osmo oil or Briwax, depending on the finish, in order to preserve their appearance. Please contact us at hello@thequainthouse.com if you would like any further advice on how to care for your furniture.
Please note that using any chemical cleaners or protection sprays on your items voids the warranty and we will not guarantee these items.
Title to Goods
Title to goods passes to you at the time of delivery/collection.
Damages
All our products are quality checked before leaving the factory in perfect condition. On delivery, it is the customer’s responsibly to duly check the contents of their order before signing for it, and they should not accept delivery unless they are fully satisfied with the condition. Claims/ Disputes
Claims for damage and shortages must be reported to The Quaint House within two days and written notification received within seven days. Products can only be returned with prior agreement by The Quaint House. We cannot accept responsibility for the non-arrival/delays of items. We always endeavour to provide a verbal explaination that is the cause of non-arrival/delay. Failure to make such claims within the specified time constitutes acceptance of the merchandise and quality thereof. The Quaint House may not accept claims for damage resulting from storage by the customer or storage by us on behalf of the customer and for damage resulting from accident, alteration or misuse after
Disputes
Any disputes will be settled under English Law in the courts of London who are deemed solely competent to settle any dispute concerning the sale.
Storage of Goods
We are happy to store you item(s) for you up to 4 weeks subject to available space in our warehouse and your item(s) have been paid for in full. If we need to store items for any longer than that we will charge storage at 5% (payable prior to delivery) of the cost of the item(s) per month unless specifically arranged beforehand at the point of order.
Cancellation/ Charges
A cancellation and/or restocking charge of up to the total order amount may be applicable on any cancelled orders. Any products that are returned should be unused and in their original packaging (please ensure you have checked the goods thoroughly before disposing of any packaging). If the customer requests a refund, The Quaint House will refund the amount paid for the goods excluding the original delivery and any charges for returning the goods (unless they are faulty or damaged). All delivery charges are non-refundable. If the customer fails to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to The Quaint House, resulting in the damage or deterioration of the products, the customer will incur the costs for any reduction in valu
Returns
Order amendments may be made only if feasible and are at our discretion. All Made to Order products are non-refundable or exchangeable. After a confirmation is issued, the customer cannot cancel an order without the written consent from The Quaint House.
