About ZusetsuStore

Sales 36

Beautifully designed, on trend furoshiki from Kyoto, right here in England!

Welcome to ZusetsuStore, your online store for quality furoshiki from Kyoto. Here you will find lots of ideas for creating your own beautiful gift-wrapping and furoshiki bags.
Contemporary furoshiki knot-wraps evolved from the textiles that carefully wrapped the treasures of the Imperial Family, just outside Kyoto. Now you can create these wonderful styles, and be a part of an on-trend movement that is choosing sustainability and reusability over paper and plastics.
To complement our growing range of furoshiki, we have more pretty gifts from the elegant city of Kyoto that are created using skills that have been passed down through generations: beautiful brocade purses that use the weaving skills of Nishijin-ori, and deep-dyed washi paper gifts inspired by kimono patterns.

We stock 4 sizes of furoshiki:
- 104cm furoshiki: creates a large bag, such as the Leaf Bag pictured in Chrysanthemum
Red/Blue.
- 90cm furoshiki: creates a slightly smaller bag, such as the one pictured in Camellia Gray.
It can also be used for special gift-wrapping (the wrapping becomes part of the gift).
- 70cm furoshiki: creates beautiful gift-wrapping for a gift that's under A4-size, and the
furoshiki can be re-used as a small Leaf Bag for keeping items in.
- 48cm furoshiki: ideal to wrap a gift like a small box of chocolates, a paperback book, or a
boxed candle. You can wrap a few small loose items, like bath products, by making it into a
very small bag.

- The Modern Girl Furoshiki Bag Kit with Ring Handles is a very pretty gift, and requires just
two knots to make. We stock 5 beautiful designs.

A detailed booklet is included with every purchase, to help you to enjoy making different styles of furoshiki wrapping.
Find how-to videos on our website: www.zusetsu.com/faq. You'll be amazed at how easy it is!
I am happy to make up your beautiful furoshiki bag for you - just drop me a message/email before you order! Thank you!

Frequently asked questions
Can you tell me about product care?

Modern Girl, Isa Monyo Reversibles, Yumeji Takehisa and Animal Cochae are all furoshiki made from 100% cotton. It is recommended that these products are gently washed on an eco-cycle at 30 degrees centigrade. Please reshape while damp, and iron on a medium setting, either on the reverse side, or by using a clean tea towel as a protective covering.

The Aquadrop Water-repellent furoshiki will have their water-repellent coating revived by carefully applying an iron, on a medium temperature.

The Kata Kata Tea Towels are made from 100% cotton on the top side, and rayon on the reverse. Please wash them first and they will begin to soften. Do not use chlorine bleach. Do not tumble dry.

All natural materials are flammable - keep away from fire.
