When removing a stretchy elastic bracelet don’t pull on one end to form a triangle and stretch it over your hand. Doing that will stress the elastic and eventually it will snap. To keep your bracelet in good shape, roll the beads over your wrist, stretching the elastic as little as possible. Exposing any type of jewelry to chemicals will break down the metals or the elastic over time. Jewelry should be taken off before applying lotions, oils, or sprays, and do not wear in the shower, bath, pool, ocean, washing dishes, or in hot a tub. Don't get it wet or expose it to soap or harsh chemicals.

Gold-filled is the next best option to 14k solid gold. It is a less expensive option, and it is hypoallergenic. Gold-filled is actual 14k gold heat-bonded with an inner core of brass as opposed to gold plated which is a thin layer of gold liquid solution electroplated over a base metal. Brass is used because it is hypoallergenic. Gold-filled is different and a higher quality alternative to gold plating. Gold plating is a layer of gold electroplated onto a base metal.

Measure your wrist with a flexible measuring tape or piece of string. Gently wrap it around the wrist, between your wrist-bone and your hand. If you add 1/2" to that measurement your bracelet should fit comfortably. For a loose fit add a little more. Take note of the measurement if using a measuring tape or mark/cut the string to the measured length. Lay the string out straight and measure it using a ruler. *Remember to add 1/4" to 1/2" to obtain your proper bracelet size.
