I like to carve pieces that flow, with the jeweler’s design in mind. Pieces that naturally fit the shape of a stone. -
I then start carving process. I remove wax with my jeweler saw first, sawing away wax, like you would with metal. -
Rough sketch of hummingbird Casting on wax. I start all my carvings this way laying out the design in sharpie.
