Dawn made jewelry and lampwork beads (I am lucky to have some of her beads). I remember her most for her trials during Hurricane Katrina. Dawn and her boys lived in Slidell, Louisiana and during the evacuation she kept all of us in an Ebay group posted on her whereabouts by stopping in libraries and getting on the Internet. She lost just about everything in the house. Basically, she drove around with her two boys and a dog and I don’t recall where she stayed while her home was being rebuilt. It was a few hours away from Slidell. I remember seeing pictures of the inside of the house with all the walls down to the studs. Dawn did a lot of the renovation herself and was so proud of it.

She was just getting back in the swing of managing her website, shows, Etsy Shop and Ebay Store, enough so that she was making a living with her beads and jewelry. It is such a shame to have lost a talented artist and I feel so badly for her sons and other family members.

Dearest friends,it is very difficuilt to write this,but after talks between the main people who have constantly been working hard to run this thread,we have had to make the decision forthwith.
We reached $5,5000 for Dawns Boys Cory and Stephen,we w have surpassed what we never expected to acheive,to put it mildly we are now tierd,but happy we were able to be part of this wonderful love and support shown by everyone involved.
I would like to thank especialy the angels that helped me when i had the notion to open this thread for the boys,they too have shown kindness,support and dedication through many hours of work.

The lady who holds the pay pal account for the boys has expressed her thankfulness,she will keep the boys pay pal account open for any future donations.
Anyone who has items for the boys they still wish to donate,i suggest you add *For Dawns Boys* in your titles/tags for each individual donation,this includes singular donations or shop sections,full shops and so on.The pay pal address to the boys remains the same.

bless you all...this has been a great mark in the history of the etsy community,long may we remain one large happy family, who will continue to help,support and be there for eachother always!
