Copyrights and stealing ideas

Original Post
Hi,
I am fairly new to the site but have already noticed that a bigger name seller has taken ideas from me and made sales on it. How do I prevent this from happening? Does anyone know how to copyright their work, and how this is done? (Also, I know that they have only started using this idea after I have posted my work, so it is not coincidental).
It's frustrating that I'm on here for fun and am having things taken from me.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

If you make one kind of thing all in one theme, an open suggestion of copying is pretty much calling out.
I mean, I would only have to search cupcake art and if there were a copier it would be easy to find them. Now, if there is no copier, it makes it awfully hard to find them.

The "someone" said right in their post that they were doing it to help the OP get the thread closed. They were aware the whole time of what they were doing and then tried to defend it, so No, I did not call out in this instance. Instead, I defended the sellers whom that poster made it possible to find by giving such a vivid description of the "offending" item. I guess that makes me a hypocrite (?)

To anyone thinking of starting another copycat thread, this is what happens. People's blood pressure rises, pages upon pages of wonton debauchery ensues, it's not very pretty. Mainly, it serves little purpose than to stir up some drama.

Admin loves drama. And cupcakes. But make sure it's all out of the fora.
