Our creative process takes at the least, 3 days, and depending if there are color graphics, can take up to 5 days just to produce your item. The process involves several drying processes, and we take great care to produce a delightful hand crafted sign that will endure for many many seasons.

The remainder of our 10-16 business days is taken up with other orders ahead of yours and possible production problems or supply runs.

Many people who do not receive their sign by a gift giving date use the mockup photo in a gift card. The recipient then is able to have two surprises instead of just one, when the sign actually arrives.

Making custom signs is like working in a hamburger shop that offers a hamburger with 57 different condiments. We do our best to get it right. And that means for us to turn out a product that is just the way you like it that we have to narrow the options to make everything the same in some ways. So everything is always shipped USPS Priority Mail, 2-3 days to the East Coast, and 3 days to the rest of the United States.

No sealant is necessary since Western Red Cedar is naturally resistant to decay. We apply a coat of deck sealer to help retain color. It should last a good 5-7 years. If you are hanging your sign in the shade or any area where it doesn't dry completely after each rain or snow, a coat of Spar Urethane is recommended. (Do not use polyurethane for indoor use).


Our wood slabs are already sealed with Spar Urethane, nothing else is necessary.

Add on signs can be your choice of children's names, his n her sign, location, est date or dogbone signs. All add on signs are interchangeable.

Child's name signs and dogbone and Cat oval signs are only large enough to carve a single name.

The rectangle shape can be made larger to accommodate several names. We do not recommend putting 6 single names on one sign because we restrict carving smaller than our standard of 1" lettering in order to be able to be blackened and sanded.
