fingertips Privacy Policy

Fingertips sells knitting patterns designed by Dagmar Mora through ravelry, etsy, loveknitting, patternfish, knitpicks and amazon (kindle version). These sites will collect customer details for each sale. You can find their privacy policies here:

Loveknitting, patternfish and knitpicks do not share their customer details with me.
Fingertips receives emails from both ravelry and etsy for each sale made through them. These emails show the customer’s user name and email address. I keep these emails with my email provider for up to seven months, to consult in case of disputes, and to make sure I fulfil my contractual obligations to you.

Ravelry and etsy also allow me to view some customer’s details for each sale in my account pages on their respective websites. On ravelry I can view customer’s user names and email addresses. On etsy I can view customer’s real names and email addresses. I do not download any of these details or process them in any other way.

Ravelry sales and some etsy sales are paid by PayPal. PayPal collects customer details for these sales. You can find their privacy policy here. On my PayPal account I can see customer’s names, email addresses and in some cases postal addresses. I download reports from my PayPal account, from which I immediately delete personal data, keeping sales figures only. This allows me to comply with my tax obligations.

If you contact me via email, ravelry pm or etsy conversation I will receive whichever private data you provide me with. I keep these conversations in case of a later follow-up, to correct patterns and to monitor what questions are raised most frequently. By sending me the information, you consent to the use of the data for these purposes only, and you can always request that I delete your data. I keep emails with my email provider, ravelry pm’s in my ravelry account and etsy conversation in my etsy account only. I will not contact you for advertising purposes, or share your data with advertisers.

I do not share any personal information with third parties apart from the ones who provided me with them (eg I would share data provided by ravelry under their privacy policy with ravelry only), unless required to do so by a court order. I do not transfer personal information outside Europe.
