Absolutely beautiful!!! I purchased a pair for myself. Loved them so much that I purchased three pairs for three best friends. Beautifully made. Laura is such a shining star with great skill and design savvy. Completed in record time...swiftly shipped from Spain to the USA. I am completely smitten with everything in her shop and with Laura herself. Makes the gloves all that more special.

These gloves are so elegant, so beautiful, so lovingly created. i have been wearing them in our zero degree temperatures and they keep my hands nice and toasty....while looking absolutely divine. The artist has such great communications and shipped quickly. She has so many gorgeous items that I will be back for more. Considering some to give as gifts....if I don't end up keeping everything. Lastly, Laura sources her fibers from fair trade companies with animal friendly practices. A great spirit!! HAPPY UPDATE:: 3/18.... I have been wearing these all winter and they still look like new. Also, I purchased three more pairs for my best friends. The quality will wow you and the artist too!!

Eco friendly hand knit, crochet and felt accessories made with love

I've been a knitter since childhood and have worked in the knitting industry for periods during my art and design career.

12 years ago I moved to Spain to start a life and art in the slow lane. Since then my partner and I have built an earthship which we moved into in 2014.

I created the KnitaFrolic Etsy shop to showcase the accessories I make in our cosy new earthship. Each item is made with love, a love for the specially sourced pure wools, for the patterns I create and for the actual act of knitting, crocheting and felting - one stitch at a time!

I like to source exclusive yarns from hand dyers and fair-trade companies with eco and animal friendly practices. I support rare breed farmers and small hand dyers and spinners. Over the years I have also collected a wonderful stash of vintage luxury yarns in a kaleidoscope of colours.

I start by either hand knitting using one of my own designs, or crotchet from a pattern or I use up-cycled knitwear that I felt.

Then, using a variety of techniques, I create the 'icing on the cake' details. From needle felting, to embroidery, applique, beading and freestyle crochet, even adding in natural found objects sometimes.

So even though I may use the same basic patterns, the colours and yarn are normally hand dyed or vintage and therefore unique, plus the details are one-offs. All making a finished piece that no one else will have. You will own a timeless, designer, one-of-a-kind piece that you'll want to keep for years to come.

Some items are available to order in limited numbers because the yarns are hand dyed or vintage and limited in quantity. I normally would only be able to produce a maximum of 3 or 4 similar items. These can be embellished with elements of your choice so they become individual to you.

Shipping

I use the Spanish Correos postal service for national and international shipping.

Living in the countryside 20 miles from the nearest post office means I go into town once a week to post items, if you buy an item on a Wednesday (Spanish time) I'll post on the Thursday morning. If you buy on the Thursday it will be posted the following Thursday. If you need it more urgently contact me and I will do my best to get it to you quicker.

Recently parcels sent to the uk have arrived within 3 days from date of posting. Packages to the US take about 1 week from posting. I think these timings are pretty amazing, although obviously I can't guarantee them.

If you buy this with another item and the actual postage is less than you paid, I'll refund the difference over £1.

Your parcel can be recorded/insured, contact me before you purchase so I can let you know how much extra it will be.
