Custom darkened antique and verdigris patina hand crafted finishes are available for an additional charge. Contact me via the convo feature after you have placed your order for a price quote on specific pieces or your entire order. There is an absolute minimum charge of $5, cost on average is approximately an additional 25-30% on the cost of order. I can only give an accurate quote after the order has been placed. ****Items with special request finishes are not returnable**** There will be a shipping delay on custom finished pieces.
Please be mindful these are time intensive processes requiring handling of the pieces several times and are priced accordingly, it is an option offered for your convenience only. You can always give items your own finishes as all of my brass is raw, unfinished brass. Hand aged finishes are just that, hand aged; while they may be similar in appearance, you should not expect items to look identical. Once chemicals are applied, the aging process is unique for each piece of metal. Verdigris pieces will arrive to you in need of either a clear seal coat or light application of renaissance wax. Darkened pieces will be in need of buffing with fine steel wool or scotch brite to bring out the high lights, and you can then seal them, wax them or use them as is. Both finishes are permanent.
