Meine Illustrationen und Strichzeichnungen basieren alle auf geometrischen Formen und Mustern. Ich stolperte über diesen Stil, nachdem meine Katze Floyd gestorben war. Am Ende kaufte ich eine ganze Kiste mit Markern und Blöcken mit Layoutpapier. Von dort aus experimentierte ich mit Formen und Farben.

Abgesehen von Sox, der Katze, ist mein ständiger Begleiter ein riesiger Zeichentisch, den mir ein Ingenieursfreund gegeben hat. Mit Vorlagen, Linealen und französischen Kurven erstelle ich Designs und Illustrationen als meinen Tagesjob und ich liebe es. Jeden Tag denke ich darüber nach, wie erleichtert ich bin, etwas zu tun, das mir immer Spaß gemacht hat.

Das Einfärben erfolgt von Hand, mit Illustration und doppelt endenden Markern. Sobald die Stücke fertig sind, scanne ich sie und lege das Layout fest, für Grußkarten, Malbücher, etc ... Ich bin jetzt auch für den gesamten Druck verantwortlich, auf mehreren Druckern hier im Studio.

Die meisten Kunstwerke sind handgezeichnete alte Schulen, aber Illustrator ist ein weiteres kreatives Werkzeug im Studio.

My illustrations and line art are all based on geometric shapes and patterns. I stumbled upon this style after my cat, Floyd, died. I ended up buying a whole case of markers and pads of layout paper. From there, I experimented with shapes and colours.

Aside from Sox the cat, my constant companion is a giant drafting table that an engineering friend gave to me. Using templates, rulers, and French curves, I create designs and illustrations as my day job and I love it. Every day I reflect on how relieved I am to be doing something I've always enjoyed.

Inking is done by hand, with illustration and double ended markers. Once the pieces are completed, I scan them and set the layout, for greeting cards, coloring books, etc ... I'm also responsible for doing all the printing now, on several printers here in the studio.

Most of the art is hand drawn old school, but Illustrator is another creative tool in the studio.
