Je suis originaire d'Athènes, en Grèce. Je viens d'une famille d'artistes, ce qui m'a influencé jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Enfant, je me souviens déambuler dans l'atelier de lithographie de mon père. L'imposante machine offset me surplombait comme une promenade en ville, rythmée par les sons de la reproduction de la maquette et culminant avec le processus miraculeux de l'impression. Aujourd'hui encore, le parfum qui se dégage de mes lectures me remplit de souvenirs et d'émotions. C'est pourquoi je garde toujours un carnet sur moi, où je note pensées et images de tout ce qui m'inspire. C'est ainsi que j'ai pris conscience de l'essence luxueuse du papier et du pouvoir de l'illustration et de l'écriture, qui m'accompagneraient toute ma vie. Enfant introverti et curieux, j'ai développé une capacité à visualiser les émotions et l'écrit, ce qui m'a conduit vers l'art et le design. Grâce à mes nombreuses expériences professionnelles, mais surtout à ma propre expérience, j'ai développé un amour pour l'observation et la capture d'images, d'émotions et de sons afin de les partager avec vous à travers mes peintures. J'ai appris à suivre le chemin que la vie m'a montré et à chérir la beauté qui m'entoure. Je cherche toujours le bon côté des choses.
I am a native of Athens, Greece born and raised. I come from an artistic family, which has influenced me to this day. I have memories as a child wandering around my father’s lithography workshop. The large offset equipment towering over me as if I were taking a walk in a big city with the rhythmic sounds generated by the reproduction of the maquette and culminating in the miraculous process of printing. Even today the scent that emerges during my browsing through a book causes me to brim with memories and emotion. That emotion is the reason why I always carry a notebook with me, writing down thoughts and images of whatever inspires my mind. Through this, I realized the paper’s luxurious essence and the power of illustration and writing that would accompany me for the rest of my life. Given that I was an introverted child with an inquisitive mind, I developed the ability to visualize emotions and the written word that took me on a path to study art and design. Because of my long-term professional experiences but mostly through personal insight, I developed a love of observing experiences and capturing those images, emotions and sounds in order to share them with you through my paintings. I learned to pursue the path that life showed me and to cherish the beauty that surrounds me. Always looking on the bright side of things.
