If you’ve been aware of my art for a while, you’ve realized that I adore words, especially the peculiar use of them. In this new series, I’ve enjoyed learning about Animal Collectives! I discovered that the nouns used as names for groups of animals are unexpectedly bizarre, thus, all the more fun to illustrate.

Collective nouns are often quite descriptive. These words tell us something about the animals in question – they describe their shape or form or character in some way, giving us an insight into their natures, personalities or behaviors.

This hand-lettered coloring book is here to provide you with adorable critters, interesting facts, a few laughs, and a little time to calm your mind while you learn about the fascinating world around us. These books have been something I’ve wanted to exist for a long time, and I finally took the leap to produce them.

This unique coloring book by Wander on Words features 30 illustrated animal collective nouns to color. The book measures 5.5" x 7" so when you have completed each page you can cut it out and have a 5" x 7" print! The pages are printed on American-made 80lb card stock and spiral-bound for ease.
